Join us at Black Barn Winery for this unique fundraiser to benefit McConnell Springs, the site where Lexington was named.  This event will take place March 26th, 2011 from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. at 14 wineries. $20 per person includes admission to all participating wineries. 

You choose your own starting point!

Travel in your own vehicle to each or as man of the sponsoring wineries as you wish for one free wine barrel tasting at that winery.

A barrel tasting is a one-ounce sample of wine before bottling and release.  The tasting is not the finished product.

You must be 21 years or older to participate.  Please provide ID at each winery.

All proceeds go to support development and improvements at McConnell Springs.

 BLACK BARN IX is aging nicely, already displaying the characteristics of a classic dry red wine.  The robust structure of flavors along with the brilliant colors of this Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc blend forecast the potential of this wine.   We are therefore excited to announce that BLACK BARN IX is now available for barrel tastings.

Thanks to all of the hard work rendered by the BLACK BARN Winery volunteers, and to the quality grapes which make BLACK BARN wine, I had the rewarding task of affixing 2010 INDY International Wine Competition Winner labels to BLACK BARN V –Silver, and BLACK BARN VI –Bronze bottles.

BLACK BARN Wines won medals at 2010 Indiana International Wine Competition.  The competition took place August 4-6, 2010 at Purdue University; it is the largest independent wine competition in the US.  Entries from over 12 countries and 39 US states were judged within categories.  Black Barn V won a silver medal and Black Barn VI took a bronze in the Red Bordeaux-Blend category.

 Don't want to buy a bottle?  You can now enjoy Black Barn wines by the glass at Malones, Sal's, and Harry's in Lexington.
